𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 - 𝐀 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝’𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐞

A tribute to my inspiring friend, Anirudh Raghu Prakash

Anirudh did the right things every day for many years in silence and today the world gets to see his success.

Through every course, every class and every day of my undergraduate degree at National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, I watched him from close quarters - same class, same hostel, same projects and multiple connections including language, culture and hobbies.

Beyond academics, a deep friendship flourished as we shared our life experiences, value system and sharpened our respective skills through mutual learning.

His level of discipline, focus and sheer determination has made him a champion.

Here are a few traits of his, that continue to inspire me:

✅ 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐜 - 16 hour days - across all days in a semester, with most of them spent at the Automobile Lab.

✅ 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 - Waking up early every morning no matter how late he had to work at night.

✅ 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐲 - Trying best to attend every class, continuously prioritizing.

✅ 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 - In every project, in every exam and every assignment, until the last minute.

✅ 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 - Quickly bounced back from failures, big or small.

✅ 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 - Seeing every challenge as an opportunity.

🎯 The first time we visited the automobile lab and walked out with hands filled with grease, he exclaimed: “I wish I could get my hands dirty throughout my life”. That’s exactly what he has done and continues to.

He eventually went on to become the captain of our college racing team, one of the toppers of our batch, a top student in Italy, and now - an Incoming Junior Vehicle Dynamics Engineer at Scuderia AlphaTauri F1 Team. The success story continues.
